I do try out new software when people suggest it...
Someone told me to try out WriteRoom - software for Mac OS X - so here I go.
Here’s me trying to type in a “completely distraction-free environment”. It is actually pretty interesting. The look of it kind of makes me feel like Doogie Howser (M.D., of course). I’m not entirely sure what I think of the software, though, because it seems incredibly limiting and will...

Work to live? Live to work?
Today is one of the those days that you have dreams about. Not dreams that give you butterflies, not dreams that keep you in bed trying your hardest to stay asleep to enjoy and certainly not the wet dreams you had when you were 12. I’m talking about the nervous dreams. The ones that make you uncomfortable upon opening your eyes because you realize that even your unconscious, sleeping mind is...
Final Destination
Welp, I’ve successfully wrecked the second mode of transportation in consecutive days this morning when I took a ridiculous tumble on my bike at 17th and Sarah. Thank you ice for being the bane of my existence. Come ON world, a small car wreck wasnt enough for you? Had to throw a bike wreck in, too?? I don’t know what …I did to you, but please consider us even. I’m...
Facebook do with Facebook blue
You know why Facebook slays? Because at no point have they allowed users to overly customize their “space” and shit up their site. Facebook do what Facebook do. Facebook do with Facebook blue. You just use it.

“The Zen-inspired painter seeks the ‘truth’ of a landscape, like that of religion, in sudden enlightenment. This allows no time for careful detailed draftsmanship. After long contemplation, he is expected to be able to seize inner truth in a swordlike stroke of the brush…”

The State of the Web Design Profession
esbueno:
Let’s face it, we are a low hanging fruit. Anyone can design a site. And everyone’s neighbor’s step-cousin’s twin can code it. You don’t need to be certified, you don’t need to be licensed by the state, or submitted to the cruelty known as the Bar Exam. Nope, you just need a computer, and a hacked iPhone to tether to. How is that for an entry barrier? The problem is that until...

Broken Ankles and Bee Stings
That’s how we’ll remember our inaugural men’s softball game at Winter’s Field. Bradsy baby getting stung by a bee and subsequently finding the power to destroy a softball (finally learning how to hit) and our beloved Manboyle who’s broken ankle received while crossing home plate for the tying run in game 2 of our double-header will serve as a painful reminder that...

some kind of a few days
It’s been some kind of a few days for me (with regard to work). Becoming tougher and tougher to keep hold of 3 person’s workload’s. Of course I can do it, but boy is it exhausting. Grabbed some new software called Things. Great little piece of task management software that has helped keep me organized.
